Privacy policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026. This policy explains how InsureNow collects, uses, shares, and protects your information, including how we handle mobile phone numbers and SMS text messaging consent.
Who we are
InsureNow is owned by 15 independent repair shops in the United States and offers vehicle service contracts / mechanical breakdown protection plans. This policy applies to this website, our quote and scheduling forms, our claims process, and our SMS program. Questions: hello@insurenow.example.
Information we collect
Information you give us: name, email address, mobile phone number (optional), vehicle year, make, model and mileage, preferred repair shop, appointment date and time, plan and claim details, and anything you write to us. Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring page. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
How we use your information
To quote and issue coverage, schedule and confirm your free inspection, service your plan, process and pay claims, respond to your questions, prevent fraud and abuse, meet legal and recordkeeping obligations, and improve this website. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
SMS text messaging program
Providing a mobile number is optional and is never a condition of purchase, coverage, or financing. If you check the SMS consent box, you agree to receive text messages from InsureNow about your quote, appointment reminders and confirmations, claim status, and plan servicing. Message frequency varies (typically fewer than 10 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
SMS consent, opt-out, and help
Consent is collected only through an unchecked opt-in checkbox that you affirmatively select, and we keep a record of that consent. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time; you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@insurenow.example. Opting out of SMS does not affect your coverage, your appointment, or your ability to file a claim — we will simply contact you by phone or email instead.
Mobile information sharing — CTIA and AEGIS
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services, and only for the purpose of delivering the messages you have consented to receive. We do not use SMS consent for any purpose other than the program you opted into, and we never transfer or resell that consent.
How we share information
We share information only with: the owner-shop or ASE-certified repair facility handling your inspection or claim; service providers acting on our behalf under contract (SMS aggregator and messaging platform, email delivery, hosting, analytics, payment processing); and when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights and the safety of others. If our business is transferred, information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.
Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to make the site work and limited analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not function without them. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.
Data retention and security
We keep quote, appointment, plan, and claim records for as long as needed to service your plan and to meet legal, tax, and audit obligations, then delete or de-identify them. SMS consent records are retained for at least four years, as recommended for messaging compliance. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor due diligence to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit a request to hello@insurenow.example and we will verify your identity and respond within the time required by law. You may appeal a denial by replying to our response.
Third-party links
This site links to Google Maps listings for our owner-shops and may link to other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own and are not covered by this policy.
Changes and contact
